I am a 26 year old female that is getting married in about 10 months. Certain deposits need to be made within the next month, that I won't have the money for until about 4 or 5 months down the rd. A good male friend has offered to loan me the $2000 I need towards the wedding. It should be said that I've borrowed money before from this person & paid it back promptly, & would have this amount paid back by Sept. But for something like my wedding, should I accept a loan to the tune of $2000 even if it will be paid back in 8 months? If I do, should I inform my fiance that I indeed have borrowed the money from this friend as well? The reason my fiance & I don't have the extra cash right now is because we are working on lawyers fees for his papers (taking 1st priority over the wedding, etc) As we all know, you need to book & place deposits asap on certain things for a wedding. Family isn't an option as they have enough money to "just get by", & bank loans charge interest, my friend wont.
