sounds like a very bad connection. Always? even small ones? just from one site? or really all files?

How are you getting the files? If you are downloading them, they may be getting corruoted when they are being sent. Also, if you are downloading from questionable sirtes, lots of the files are broken or corupt on such sites. I would try to download a short file from a trusted site (for instance ZDNET, or somethiong like that) and see if that works. If the short file is corupt, you may have a problem with your unzip software. In that case, I recommend downloading WinRAR, its an unzip utility that will work with many types of files, and it should be a self extracting file, so you won't need an unzip utility to install it

Try re-download the files again. Sometimes the data get corrupted during the download process. Use winzip or win xp to extract the files to see if it work. It it still does not work, you have a problem with either your web browser of your internet connection. Re-install the brower may fix it.

u have not downloaded the file fully. it is incomplete download or the file is corrupted. try to download the complete file.
