Zippo lighter around grease, bad?

I have a zippo lighter that I took to work. It was working (sparking), then It stopped sparking, I work around grease and I guess it had something to do with it? I mean I think I got grease on the wheel but is that the problem?

Have you checked the level of the lighter fluid? How about putting in a new flint? Not sure, but you could try the Zippo company itself if those things don't work. I think they do repairs, but don't know for sure.

<>If you did get grease on the striker wheel, it would probably stop sparking. Clean it with a cloth and some lighter fluid.
