god no, there would be complete mayhem in both countries when our crooked politicians and their got together and started fighting over who gets the lions share of the bribes and what is stolen from both countries,we have a lot of corruption in our country , but the Philippines I think have more as the police on the street will try to get money from you, and their politicians are very brave also, most of the time they don't even do it in secret,
also we have enough muslims to contend with here already, and the phills have to many for my thinking

The Philippines consisting of 7107 islands, used to be a colony of Spain for 300 years. The Treaty of Paris was signed on December 10,1898, ending the Spanish-American war and the transfer of Spanish sovereignties of Puerto Rico, Guam and the Philippines to the United States Government. This treaty was approved by the US Congress on February 6, 1899.
Thus, the Philippines was under the US Government (administered as a Colony ) until the declaration of Philippine Independence Day on July 4. 1946 as recognized by the USA. The first Philippine Independence Day was declared by Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo on June 12, 1898 and this was not recognized by Spain and USA. The Philippines could be one the States of USA? if, it was formally annexed by USA between 1900 to 1946...

Partial as I am to the Philippines I doubt that the interest in becoming a state would be very strong there. It would have to be desired by most of the citizens before it would even be considered by the U.S. I also think the level of government corruption is much higher there so many of the current leaders would strongly oppose any change of that type.

I believe that is inevitable given the current state of Greenland. That's just my opinion though.
