It seems like every time people point at the brutal acts being committed by the followers of the religion which apporoves violence towards "non-believers", someone pops out of the peanut gallery and points at the acts of Christians which happened decades or even centuries ago.

Why can't people focus on the here and now instead of cowardly using diversionary tactics to avoid addressing the issue at hand?

I am really looking forward the the soon return of Jesus. Like I said to somebody the other day, only a dead and dying person loves this dead and dying word. I feel Jesus will be returning very soon although I do not know when, I had a strong feeling the other day that it will be in this generation.Christians do you like me feel this world is very empty and unfulfiling? I do and I have my focus on the Heavenly things, not of the world where there is so much unbelive, murder, wars, famines, hatred, violence, percecution ect. So christians do you have your heart on what is unseen, because as you know what is unseen is eternal, and what is seen will all pass away.

Sally was driving home from one of her business trips in Northern Arizona when she saw an elderly Navajo woman walking on the side of the road. As the trip was a long and quiet one, she stopped the car and asked the Navajo woman if she would like a ride. With a silent nod of thanks, the woman got into the car.

Resuming the journey, Sally tried in vain to make a bit of small talk with the Navajo woman. The old woman just sat silently, looking intently at everything she saw, studying every little detail, until she noticed a white bag on the seat next to Sally.

"What in bag?" asked the old woman?

Sally looked down at the white bag and said, "It's a box of chocolates. I got it for my husband".

The Navajo woman was silent for another moment or two. Then speaking with the quiet wisdom of an elder, she said: "Good trade."

Ok I have been hearing stories of many parents who only let their child on the internet or computer for an hour or 30 minutes a day. I have been trying to understand why parents restrict their children on so many things. I hear all this talk about parents being afraid of online predators. YES there are online predators lurking everywhere online. It is the parents job to raise their children the right way, what is taking every single thing away that can possibly hurt a child doing to them? It's making them weak.

If mommy takes takes control of a childs life they can NEVER be independant succesfully. A smart child online who knows right from wrong would easily know not to meet with someone they met online. The easy way out is to put a magnifying glass on your child that or block every single website that has contact with the outside world. There is good and bad things online but when they move out and on their own they will find these things anyway.

I have read that it is strongly argued that the moon is possibily older than the Sun and Earth and that the theory of the Moon being apart of the Earth that broke away after a collision or during formation is not a valued idea since there are materials on the Moon that can't be found on Earth.

If the moon was older than the Sun or Earth what could this mean?
Anyone believe the notion that the Moon is a spaceship

When can you get the best deals from a car dealer, if I had no timetable to buy one? I just want the best deal, even if I have to wait 6-9 months. Is it around Xmas, or when the new models come out and you get an older model.

I do want a new car, not used.

Also, any tips on getting a vehicle even cheaper?

Several centuries ago, the Pope decreed that all the Jews had to
convert or leave Italy.
There was a huge outcry from the Jewish community, so the Pope
offered a deal.
He would have a religious debate with the leader of the Jewish
community. If the Jews won, they could stay in Italy, if the Pope
won, they would have to convert or leave.

The Jewish people met & picked an aged but wise Rabbi Moishe to
represent them in the debate. However, as Moishe spoke no Italian
& the Pope spoke no Yiddish, they all agreed that it would be a
"silent" debate.

On the chosen day, the Pope & Rabbi Moishe sat opposite each other
for a full minute before the Pope raised his hand & showed three
fingers. Rabbi Moishe looked back & raised one finger.

Next, the Pope waved his finger around his head. Rabbi Moishe
pointed to the ground where he sat. The Pope then brought out a
communion wafer & a chalice of wine. Rabbi Moishe pulled out an
apple.

With that, the Pope stood up & declared that he was beaten, that
Rabbi Moishe was too clever, & that the Jews could stay.

Later, the Cardinals met with the Pope, asking what had happened.

The Pope said, "First, I held up three fingers to represent the
Trinity.

He responded by holding up one finger to remind me that there is
still only one God common to both our beliefs.

Then, I waved my finger to show him that God was all around us. He
responded by pointing to the ground to show that God was also right
here with us.

I pulled out the wine & wafer to show that God absolves us of all
our sins.

He pulled out an apple to remind me of original sin. He had me
beaten & I couldn't continue."

Meanwhile the Jewish community gathered around Rabbi Moishe.

"How did you win the debate?" they asked.
"I haven't a clue," said Moishe.
"First he said to me that we had three days to get out of Italy, so
I gave him the finger."

Then he tells me that the whole country would be cleared of Jews &
I said to him, we're staying right here."

"And then what?" asked a woman.

"Who knows?" said Moishe, "He took out his lunch, so I took out
mine."
