I actually enjoy being alone for Christmas. Eating and drinking what I want and when I want. Watching what i want on TV and not having to make an effort to get on with family I dont really like

Well I'm not, but my friend I work with has done it for years and LOVES it. She is married to a guy who has 2 kids from a previous relationship. Every year the kids spend Christmas Eve at their house and then in the morning he takes his kids and goes to his Mom's house for the entire day and into the night. My friend puts the fireplace on, has all her fav foods, a whole stack of "rag" magazines (just for fun), rents a couple of dvd's that she loves, gets into a comfy outfit and does her own thing. She says while everyone else is stressed out cooking these big dinners, getting all dressed up and uncomfortable, she is having a totally relaxing, carefree day. This is a day she looks forward to all year. lol So u are not alone in your feelings. I hope u enjoy your day.

I have never had a christmas alone. I don't think I could do it though. I have a huge family, but I always have a quiet time during the day(usually when I've had waaaay too much alcohol) when I think how lonely I would be.
Sometimes I would gladly trade them all in for a small sum, but then I realise, I couldn't sell my kids on e-bay(mostly, because it's illegal).

i love christmas too, yet im not in any respect waiting for it until eventually yuletide eve :D each and every of the procuring and wrapping presents devoid of my daughter noticing etc takes me a at the same time as. yet i do commence procuring presents about now. My daughters birthday is in November and we produce different birthdays round that element and large expenses due. So, we favor to spread out the fee through saving our food market vouchers and finding out to purchase in sales when we see something- as there s no such ingredient as a sale in december lol. I purely offered a mess of books from a chum of a chum who change into promoting them (all sparkling) for an insignificant £7. that is 0.5 my yuletide pressies looked after in a unmarried swoop for £7. no human being choose sto recognize i didnt pay complete fee yet they're sparkling and unread. yet i agree that is the finest time of 12 months and compared to three i love the darkish mornings and evenings and occassional snow. Christmas wouldnt be christmas if it wasnt iciness :)

i'll be having a very quiet xmas with my girlfriend. i'll be outwardly happy and relaxed for her but inside i'll be lonely as hell for different reasons, friends have shunned me even a card would be nice. 1day isn't going to change somebodys perception or attitude towards me (sniff!)
