Hinckley is the best. Of course I am a sailor, and the motor yachts listed did not impress me.

If you are referring to fast powered yachts that handle well the "Millenium Super Yachts" are probably the best to fit that description. The Millenium 140 can cruise at over 65 knots in proper sea conditions. Thats not to shabby for a vessle 140 feet long. It also handles like it's on rails. Of course there are other yacht manufacturers that may come close but most think the Millenium is the goods.

Nordhavn is the best "production yacht"

There are an incredible number of custom yards out there. But the best off the shelf is a Nordhavn.

The BMW of production sailboats is definitely Nautor's Swan. For custom boats, there are a myriad of small builders. Wally yachts have become very fashionable lately. I guess they would be the Maserati of yacht builders. They build amazing motoryachts as well.
