I give up on these questions - dont get me wrong, I love them and find the answers facsinating aswell as the questions being highly thought provoking, but EVERYONE has a different theory and most of them seem plausible in one way or another, however, the REALLY frustrating thing is that there is just no possible way to find out who or what is right. GRRRRRR Its like when you are watching the Weakest Link and the time runs out before Ann has time to tell you whether the contestant answered the quesiton wrong or right!!!!
If I was doing a degree in physcology I would use questions and the answers like these for my dissertation - people (myself included) have trouble in accepting that things are like they are WITHOUT a reason for it being like it is (maybe the sun, earth and moon formed from a few of pieces of dust??? this is just an example, despite the fact that it starts off a whole new set of questions!!!!) - that is also the reason I think there are so many religious people, god is the answer to their questions, god made this, god did that, god put that there, blah blah blah

This sort of depends of how you defined when the moon became the moon, the earth the earth and the sun the sun. However by my definition the sun is slightly older the both the earth and the moon. The earth / moon system was formed when a mars sized object hit the young planets. This impact created the earth and moon, so these are the same age.
Oh and the moon is made mostly from basalt which CAN be found on the Earth.
And no the moon isn't a spaceship

If the moon is older than earth, than how can two pieces which originated from the same place be different in age? You are contradicting yourself. The materials on earth may be different because of the presence of air in the atmosphere. The moon is a space ship:somehow. It is a natural satellite but a space ship is a man-made one.So, both are satellites and that is something in common.
P.S This is only my theory, and it cannot be trusted.

Obviously not. even though the sun and the moon are the same size (You can see this at an eclipse when the sun has a piggyback from the moon), which means they have been alive for the same time, the sun must be 1 day older, since there is always day before night. However, the earth being much bigger than both has had more time to grow must be older.

The moon was created at the same time as the earth in the Big Bang. It just happened to get stuck in the orbit of the earth has remained there since.

I don't believe it was a space ship. (that would be pretty interesting...) Personally I believe the theory that said that the moon was just another floating body traveling through space that got caught up in Earths gravitational pull.
