we've been together for a little over a year now, it's long distance and ive been there several times,.. and she came here and is also flying down on xmas day. recently-- her ex gf has called-- and tried to feed her a line of B.S. about how she has changed and how much she misses her and loves her..ive seen the conversation since it was on the computer-- and i know that she is trying to let her down easy.. why is it so hard to tell your ex to just quit. to leave u alone. i know she loves me-- we've been through a lot-- even with my ex so guess what goes around comes around--- but now i ask.. she mentioned that she found that she would love her ex's more when they would be mean to her and act like they dont care.. should i do the same?? not call and just wait for her to and then pretend im too busy? but its so hard-- i find myself constantly thinking ab her-- and wanting to call..i want to be the "tough" one since obviously im the butch and shes the femme.. any advice? appreciate it

I grew up in the 80's and as terrible as this
sounds, lots of parents would smack their kids
around and it was generally accepted. I remember
my friend across the street would occasionally
get "the belt". My parents didn't BEAT me but
they basically would smack us around. Now
you would get child social services called on
you - and thank god for that.. but it just seems
like, only 20 or so years ago, it was perfectly
accpetable to hit your child. any thoughts on
this?

I have to connect two computers, no big deal. Small network using straight through twisted pair cabling. The teacher is going to randomly assign us to set it up to either class A, B, or C. What is the difference between them (the IP addresses). and secondly, how exactly do you set the ip address, we have to do that through the network settings, not the ipconfig command? The subnetting, I guess is just set to 255.0.0.1, but if she assigns me class C, would the subnet be 255.255.255.1?

About 4 months ago i finally noticed i had feelings for my best friend and he has a girlfriend who's in college. He didn't have a date for a dance so i asked him if he wanted to come with me, he said sure and we met up at the dance and had a great time. His gf asked how it was and he told her he had a great time, she got mad and they broke up. He begged to get her back and they're together again, but she hates my guts. I didn't talk to him for a while cause i felt guilty that i broke them up, he noticed this and came up to me and asked if everything was alright. i told him i felt guilty that he and his gf broke up and he said there's more to that isn't there? And i said yes, i feel guilty that i like you. He said don't feel bad cause i liked you too for a little bit and then cause i was having a great time with you. He knows i still like him. but does he like me? I really love him, and in school he walks me to class and hugs me all the time. he no longer talks about his gf to anyone.

After reading responses in regard to the woman who was kicked off a plane for breastfeeding I just have to ask this question. Many of you said that public nudity is illegal. Or you said you don't want to see a nipple.

When a woman breastfeeds her child you cannot see a nipple!! Why? Because it is in the baby's mouth. The most you see of a woman's breast when she is nursing is part of the top or maybe part of the bottom, depending on what type of top she is wearing. I've seen less skin on a breastfeeding mom than I've seen on women wearing low cut tops with push-up bras. Should we kick any woman wearing a low cut top off a plane because it is considered public nudity to reveal the top portion of her breasts?
