I am a recovering alcoholic and an enabler. I got my son out of jail by talking to the judge and let him share my 2 bdrm. apt. with me.some days were wonderful, his gf lived in another city with my grandson and i just adored this boy. My son was using, and I was afraid most of the time and the verbal abuse was too much to bear.I would go to meetings and wonder how many times I would hear myself talk about this problem. One night I came home and told him to leave, his gf was real angry, and I told her to take him in or his father who was sober for 20 years could. anyway nobody wanted the pain and agony of dealing with him and they told me I was a rotten mother to just throw my son out. The end result was that he left, and I haven't seen my grandson or son since, we live in the same city. I thought the other grandparents would at least call me, to see what was going on, but no one callled. my heart is broken. I have stayed sober, but my life is not the same. Grandparents have no rights!

Just a lil' question/dilemma/or whatever..I am in my early 20's and an asian female..Just want to know your thoughts on this..Its not that I hate being asian..in fact I do sometimes wish i was non asian..I hate hanging out in places where there's a congregation of asians..And I hate when asian people approach me thinking that because I'm asian, that we're all gonna be friends...I had heaps of asian friends at high school, in fact just about all my high school friends were asians..but now since i've lost touch with all of them I don't know any. I feel like as an asian, i have to prove myself more..'cos theres all these sterotypes and crap..ugghh..I just get pissed off. I strongly believe that the world is kinder to whites. Its like when I meet people or whatever and when they hear me speak, they're like "WOW..your english is so good"..Its like what the hell, because i'm asian i have to speak like retard..Am i making sense? maybe i'm sounding a lil' irate right now..

Last ten years ago, found that HBs antigen positive. On recheck, still positive nine month ago and anti HBe is reactived(6.39), ALT(SGPT)=24, AST(SGOT)=31,HBsAg=2370. Now check again, anti HBe=3.66,ALT(SGPT)=19, AST(SGOT)=67,HBsAg=2100.

Well, The pig is well in Mass today. Bostons BIG DIG (tunnel under the water) is in the news again. It is some times called " Kennedys Folly" because most of the federal money was got by him. The origonial price was $4.5 billion but the final was $14.5 & 21/2 years late.Even after it was completed it leaked. Water was coming out the walls because when the panels were removed they found crushed rock not cement(that the goverment paid for). A women was killed when a ceiling panel fell on her car because there were not enough bolts holding it & those that were were to short.Is this where we want our money to go ? where was the oversite by both state & federal goverments? Is this the tax money of hard working people or theirs?

I was going to give a 1Gb USB flash memory stick to someone for their birthday, but they use a Mac at home and work, will it still be usefull to him or are they of more use with PC's?? I assume Macs have USB slots and it will be recognised ok??

What should i do?

My father divorced his first wife because she cheated on him on with my dads cousin. My dad remarried, from where i came from! :D

But growing up with this knowledge makes me feel insecure in that - what if it happens to me? - what if history repeats itself? I have trusted girlfriends that i have had fully, but i gues i know they werent for long term, but when i do get married, i think i might not fully trust her, i know in my heart, i would carry out the vows i take until death do us apart, but what if she doesnt? - In this day and age its so easy to stray, friend, colleague, etc etc.

Even a kiss, for example if something happened accidently after a few drinks, perhaps i worry too much, think too much, and should just go with the flow, but is that life? - going with the flow is half hearted approach.

I dont know whats the way to change my view on this, what are your views?

the thing is that at times i think that i ve done alot for him... left my friends after a couple of weeks that we started dating.... and now he has transfered to another school... he is feeling abondonded by his freinds... but i told him that i m always there for him. i m in a way feeling rather left on my own. but i really love him and do nt want us to stop in this way. i want us to make the best out of our relationship. we have always done! i feeling rather lost... now he is even at times feeling a bit upset about me talking to our past freinds (who are males) what can i do?
