That is interesting SHAOLT2002. A lot of people's ancestors lived in America way before 1492. The myth of Jesus and Christianity had not arrived yet. Yet you label them ignorant because they didn't have a time machine to travel to the 1600s, nor a boat big enough to travel to Rome and convert themselves to "Christianty". Interesting indeed.
My answer: If they are in hell, God is unjust, so SHAME on God.

May I say, there is not one soul in Hell. Because of their nationality or for any other reason. Except, except for this penalty. They denied Jesus as their savior and did not repent of their sins. God is a Holy God, a Just God and a God that "never" breaks a promise. If God would break one promise He made. He could not be a Holy God, or a Just God. Then He could not Save His people from their sins.
So therefore every human born on this earth. Somehow, Someway God made it possible for each human to have at least one chance to get saved. No one in Hell got there without having one chance to get saved. not one!
God works in mysterious ways. That is why God is a Holy God, a just God, a God to keep all his promise.

No one will be in Hell unless they deserve to be there. If you never heard of Jesus Christ, or God then you will be judged by what kind of person you were. If you lived a good life, then you would have little to worry about. If you lived an evil life, then worry. God has put it in all of us right from wrong. So all who never heard about God will be judged differently.

God has put it in a persons soul to know the true God , His glory is in the heavens so if you never heard the name then you would still be smart enough to worship the God that made the Stars ,

They were ignorant - they didn't have the choice to accept Christ if they didn't know about him. Thus I think God will judge them by some other standard. John 9:41 is my favorite verse concerning your question:
Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains."
