Hi there!
I just got asked out on a date by this guy I don't know very well, but who has always seemed super sweet. I'm excited, but nervous, as I am just coming out of an intense yearlong relationship. Its been 6 weeks and I've done a great job doing everything I need to do to move on. But as many of you know, some days are better than others.
I really feel like I want to give this new guy a chance, but I'm worried about being fake or insincere. I'm also not one to bring up the past too soon with a new guy, but maybe thats the right thing to do? What do you think?
I heard that if you're with the right person, it doesn't matter how recent your past is...do you think this is true? Or am I kidding myself and I really just need more time? In which case, should I just come out clean with this guy and ask if we can just be friends for now and check back with eachother in a bit before dating?
