i play the guitar and i heard someone say "why get into music, let alone anything, if you dont want to be the best?" so i thought "ok, i should be the best. but then i read that jimi hendrix never wanted to be the best, he just wanted to feel the music.should i just have the same thought as him so i could have a good reputation. ok this doesnt make any sense... i dont know how to explain this..

I smoke and I think I may be pregnant. So my question is, is it better for me quit cold turkey (which I don't think that I could seriousy do)? Or would it be safe to quit slowly by weaning myself off or even using the patch or gum? I don't want to continue to smoke, but I don't know what to do. I know that I am not strong enough, no I don't have enough will power to just stop. And I know it would not be fair to the baby if I cheated trying cold turkey. Can anyone give me any advice on what they did or maybe someone they know. Or any good ideas on quitting while still being healthy for the baby.

I know with Halloween being tomorrow, that all the scariest movies are on TV right now. But even in seeing glimpses of previews of upcoming horror movies - they are simply too awful. It is horrible to think some of these stories are real and can happen. I can't even watch the previews without having to look away. Is anyone else bothered by them? I'm 28 and married, no kids...but I have no desire to ever see this much violence and gore. It just seems to get worse.

I'm looking for clinical studies or expert opinion (board certified allergists) on how long it can take for an allergic reaction to appear after the allergen has been eaten. So far, most articles and books on the subject of allergies and food allergies brush over that detail. Most say an allergic reaction can take up to 4 hrs or 6 hrs. Once in a while an "expert" who is not an allergist will say it can take 24 to 48 hours. Has anyone actually studied it in double blind environment?
