The geckos are there for a reason and that reason more than likely is they are controlling an insect problem within your home. They are harmless creatures and will not hurt you at all, while at the same time, they are benefitting you by controlling any insect populations within your home. Killing the geckos would more than likely upset this balance and you may end up with a problem worse than having geckos.
If you really must get rid of the geckos, do it humanely by finding live capture traps and removing them from your home and placing them elsewhere. The geckos do not seserve to die just because you do not like or are afraid of them. Remember, it is humans that are encroaching into their habitat, just as much as you feel they are encroaching into your home.
I hope you can learn to deal with them and see them as a beneficial companion, but if not, please try to find a wat to remove them without exterminating them. We all too often see other creatures as lower and value their lives far too little.
peace

Control the bug problem by getting an exterminator and the geckos will leave. Seal up all doors and windows or areas where they can get in. Im with you, I am not afraid of them but they are creepy and if I find too many of them on my property I do kill them

First of all, you need to talk to a professional. No, not a professional at dealing with geckos -- a professional at dealing with phobias. When it gets beyond just feeling a little creeped out and you are actually afraid of something like bugs -- or geckos -- that are totally harmless, it's starting to interfere with your life. There are ways to counteract that, and a professional will know them. Then you can go through the rest of your life NOT afraid of harmless things, and save your energy for being scared of things that really can hurt you. It doesn't sound like much now, but it WILL make a difference in your life.
Second, as for the geckos: Leave the little fellows alone. They couldn't hurt you if they tried. They're just there to eat the bugs and roaches. Once you get used to them you'll even find them entertaining. Many people (and yes, I am one) keep geckos as pets. When I lived in California, I turned a big tokay gecko (they get to be about a foot long, unlike your tiny little guys) loose in my new apartment for cockroach control. He wiped them out.
Geckos are on your side. So are the people who can help you overcome phobias like that. Talk to them (the people, not the geckos ... well, you can talk to the geckos, too, but it won't do much good) and get some help with the phobia. You don't have to let it interfere with your life.

I've been to Okinawa. Those are just some little geckos. and they only bite if you play with them. Don't bother them and they won't bother you. They're just as scared of you as you are of them.
I think they're cool to look at.

Please don't kill the geccos.
Do you remember Steve Irwin? He was the "Crocodile Hunter that was recently killed by a stingray. His job was to educate the public on reptiles, big and small, and some of the more "ugly" and most feared animals.
He also spent a lot of his money on buying land to protect many animals and reptiles, etc., to keep them from becoming extinct. He died doing his job because it was that important to him. He knew it was very dangerous, but the animals and reptiles meant that much to him.
He wanted people to see them up close and become educated about them, so they wouldn't be afraid - in hopes that they would develop a respect for all living creatures, big and small.
Once people can get others to learn and respect these "most -feared," animals and reptiles, hopefully the killing will stop. Each animal or reptile you kill is one less on earth, and one more step towards extinction.
I hope you think about it and give them a chance. Thank you.

You shouldn't be scared of geckos. They are harmless. Maybe you should set up a trap with some crickets in it. They love those. Then let them go outside. Either that or get someone you know that isn't afraid of them to cathc them and let them go outside. No reason to kill them. They haven't done anything to you. They are just trying to survive.

Geckos are perfectly harmless. They will kill the bugs and roaches so if you get rid of the geckos you will have more bugs. I live in the caribbean and they are very useful little guys to have in the house. They control the bugs better than any roach motel or bug spray ever has. Try and find a balance in your life that will allow the gecko to be a part of your existence.
