How do I put this?! ... YES!!!! It´s def. a scam. If anyone´s in any doubt, do you really think that prisoners in refugee camps in Liberia and Senegal have an email facility and the ability to pay money in online? Or even take a walk down the road to the local bank? Hmmm.....

What a cynical lot these Yahoo Answerers are. This is almost certainly a genuine attempt from someone who is almost certainly poverty-stricken in one of the poorest parts of Africa to generously give millions of pounds to someone they don't know in another country.

West Africans are renowned the world over for their generosity of spirit and their absolute honesty. All of the so-called 419 Frauds are merely allegations by Europeans who are jealous of the wealth that our African brothers and sisters have found accumulated and unclaimed in their countries.

We should all freely give our bank account details to these new philanthropists - no, go even further, give them our PIN numbers and credit card details - so that they can rid their countries of accumulated wealth and generously share it with us all.

Sorry - I think there are a couple of typos in here somewhere. What I meant to say is NEVER, EVER respond to one of these requests by these thieving African bar stewards. It is almost incredible to believe that there are STILL people around who haven't heard of these frauds.

Definitely a scam! I got one of those emails, too. Sure. I'm going to give someone my bank account details! LOL! If I did give my bank account details to them, they'd be sorely disappointed. They might be able to withdraw $5. Maybe even less. :)

Good grief - do you really need to ask. The gross income of Senegal is probably only £6.5m!

Yes,.. that's as much a Scam AS ME winning the Lotto in every country, owning stocks in every country, being of royal blood in every country, winning from free lotto sites, needing to change my personal information on eBay, needing to get my few thousand dollar check for a Dial Up modem I supposedly sold on ebay,.... etc,... etc.

I suggest you report them to the PenPal site you signed up on,.. they may not be aware of this problem.

You are a smart man. It sounds like a scam to get your account number.

Sound like another scam doesn't it. It must work though otherwise they would stop doing it. There's a mug born every day.
