Under what conditions does a parent not have the legal right to pick up their children from school? In specific, if a school has a bomb threat and the kids are moved out of the building to their specified shelter, do parents have a legal right to pick them up? If so, is there any documented law, legal case, or state policy for this other than that mentioned in the student handbook? I haven't found any substantial resources online.

There's tons of people on here who have like over 9,000 points on here. They're like the top-dogs in this section. My question is--how can anyone who spends that much time on here be a good parent? They act like they know everything about parenting yet they spend so much time on here they have thousands and thousands of points. How can these people actually be good parents?

My husband and I just moved and our next door neighbors invited us to their upcoming wedding. We don't know them very well, but would like to be friends, so we are planning on going. However, they are not registered anywhere so I'm not sure what to get them. Any ideas? I thought maybe cash/gift card, but I'm not sure how much or if that is even appropriate since we just met. Help!

she already knows that i like her and in my previous question, everyone said i should still ask her out. I asked her before this to go rock climbing with me and she said yes. one of which is one of my closest friends and i will be sharing a room with her, no big. Im not worried about that. The problem is, the other girl that lives there is with her bf and she is preggers, and is being very bitchy about the whole thing. She is having me sign a personal contract, (which is understandable) stating I will not leave for the 7 months that we spoke about. BUT the thing is, she also is putting on there that if I do "breech" contract that I will have to pay for it. My question is, what if they need to kick me out for some reason? Do i have any right to anything? Or am I basically going in there, paying out the ***, for there still to be a chance she will make me leave with nothing?

I will be a DJ at an 80's rock party and need to buy some music. I would like to know what songs people like to hear. Please don't cut and paste some top 40 chart from the 80's or give me a link to a website I already know. I want to hear from the fan perspective, please. I will be playing some hair band music (Guns and Roses, Twisted Sister, etc.), some Rock (Rick Springfield, John Mellencamp, Journey, etc.), and some Ballads too (Chicago, REO Speedwagon, etc).... also if you can let me know some hair band ballads that would be great. A Girl who works for me used me as a reference for a car at one of those "we tote the note" places where your job is your credit. When they call me should I just tell them date of employment, etc or should I tell them the truth that she doesn't pay her bills, people are calling her everyday trying to collect. That the last car she got from a tote the note place was wrecked by her boyfriend and she refused to pay it off because she didn't want to pay on something she didn't have. She's a risk, and I really don't want to get involved, but I'm her boss and they are going to ask for me.
