Call the company... should have a number on the bottle. They will tell you what to do. However, I would take pictures or document what you found before sending it back to the manufacturer, just... in case, ya know.
Good luck

Always call the 800 number if there is a problem with a product. They need to know for their QC. They will most likely send you several coupons and a paid shipping label for you to send the gatorade back to them. Don't just take it back to the store because then they will just throw it away and the company will never know it even happened. It's up to us to better products by informing the companies when something is not right.

do not open it or drink it at all. it must be a type of fungus or bacteria that got in it as it was made. call the 800 number on the back and ask them what you should do. also take pictures of the drink and send them to the company. this is what i did when theree was a blue thing in my gatorade

That's not cotton...Sounds like mold somehow got into your product. Don't open it and call the 800 # on the back...

Don't drink it. Return it to the store for a refund or throw it away. It is more than likely a type of fungus or bacteria growing within.

do not eat the cotton. Stuff the cotton in your ears while drinking the Gatoraid.
