well, now that your neighbors why not just get them a nice card so you dont show up to the wedding empty handed. you could also add a gift card to it but your real gift could be a post honeymoon dinner at your place, or their favorite restaraunt so you can get to know each other better. plus you'll already having stuff to talk about like the wedding, the honeymoon, and where you from. that way you wont feel weird about getting a gift for people you dont really know while also giving you a chance to do something nice for them that breaks the ice of being new neighbors. if that doesnt work then just ask them what they need such as stuff for their home or even special favors like mowing their lawn, washing their car(s), or feeding their pet(s) while their on vacation.

If they invited you and don't know you, its possible they are fishing for a gift (sad but true). Gifts are not mandatory nor is there a "rule" on how much, or what, to give.
Money should suffice, and since they are not registered anywhere Money is probably what they are hoping for. I wouldn't give a large amount since you barely know them, but you should give whatever you are comfortable with and can afford.
Better yet get the a gift card for a nice restaurant or a movie theater...

Please, Not a picture frame. I got married almost 2 years ago and I am still trying to find places for wedding picture frames. Just how many wedding pictures do you put up. Not that many! If you do go with a frame how about a nice non wedding one.
Gift card, cash, tickets are great ideas. Just stay away from the wedding frames.

Make it something that they can keep as a remembrance of their special day. It doesn't have to be expensive, but it should be personal. A silver heart-shaped box engraved with their names or a wedding clock with a place for a picture and a silver engraved insert. It will show that you put some thought and effort into choosing the gift.

A gift card or a check is an excellent idea for someone you don't know very well. The amount should be determined by were the reception is being held. If you go to the reception your gift should be for more than the cost of your meal. If you are not going to the reception you should only give what you can afford. Please don't try to impress people by giving more than you can afford.People know the difference between someone on a budget and someone who is stingy.

Gifts are not (suppose to be) expected so anything that you give will be nice. I think a gift card for a really nice restaurant or just cash is perfect.

How about tickets to an event or show that they may like. Do they seem like sports fans or music buffs or maybe they'd be interested in a home show? That way, you and your husband could go with them and you could make an evening of it!

i would suggest a gift voucher from a department store not too much or to little something in between say 20 that way you dont look like a rich twit or a tight *** and they can get what they like.
