I never looked for a job in my entire career, they approached me. Now at 62 no one bothers to answer my more than 60 apps for any job I apply for over the company internet site. I noticed a small very hard white bump on the inside of my gums by my back molar. It felt like bone and did not move at all when I poked at it. It has since gone leaving a ulcer or hole that apears to go all the way back to the tooth. It dosen't hurt and didn't really hurt when it felt like a bone sticking out of my gums either. I've had concerns of STD's in the past (usually unwarranted) and test always neg. The one that concerns me is syphilis. Does this sound like something to be concerned with? It has gone from bone like to a hole in around two to three weeks. And it really does go all the way to the tooth, I can feel it with a pick using no pressure at all.

Some people claim gardening is therapeutic. Is this true? I've never had the opportunity to garden before, but my grandfather has a flower and vegetable garden, and he absolutely loves being outside gardening. As a matter of fact, that's where he spends the majority of his day. Do those of you that garden, feel the same way?

I went to lunch and was standing in line at Jack in the Box the woman in front of me is on the cell phone talking, when it's her turn and the clerk asks for her order she tells the clerk she's on a call you'll have to wait a minute, the clerk asked me for my order and the woman got rude to me and the clerk, Telling me to step back in line and wait my turn and then told the clerk that she was there 1st. I looked at her and placed my order, and then listened to her tell who she was talking to how rude I was even though she wasn't ready to order cause she was still on her phone.

Why not tie skills development and labor shortage skills together with welfare to create workfare? Raise the poverty level to $27k but limit the time you can spend on welfare plus create a sliding scale of food stamp support that matches the cash spent on WIC and other staples rather than a flat fee? Tie the whole program to proven citizenship and remove the people from the program who don't land a job within 3 months of skills training in the skill(s) needed. We eliminate unemployment and bring a sense of dignity back to the whole program
