I make my own from fresh ingredients, when in season. Cost is less than $1.00 for a large one.

Here they can cost $3-6. I use a half small carton of yogurt, half a glass of skim milk, half a banana, and either some peaches, strawberries or frozen cherries, and three ice cubes and blend. Sometimes I add vanilla or I add orange juice. There are millions of combinations to try at home. Protein powder is useful to have around. And so is carrot juice when it is not under recall. I make a great apricot and ginger smoothie that I named after my dog, Chun Mee. I have lots of smoothies using coffee and teas. Really I spend very little on them since I like my own.

In L.A. I spent $4something. But they were Jamba Juice Smoothies, Large, and just about worth it, in my humble opinion.
