Providing that they have good movement of their hands and fingers, there is no reason why not!

However, as with all muscial instruments, not every person has the ability to master the piano. This, however, would have nothing to do with their age.

ABSOLUTELY!!! WITHOUT A DOUBT!!!! My dad started to play the flute about 4 years ago and he is 60 this year. He learnt really quickly and now he is above grade 8 standard and hes planning on doing a recital next year. Iv'e played the flute for about 7 years but my dad is a lot better than me! Age has nothing to do with your ability to learn, if anything you should have leaned how to learn so you should be able to learn quickly! The piano is my favourite instrument so I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn an instrument.

Good Luck!!

sweetie, you dont need anyone's permission to pursue a goal, no matter if you're 95! its your life, you only live once, enjoy it so that you will never look back wondering, what if this and what if that!
having said that, you should note that it might be challenging because its pretty much like driving a car...you are expected to do several things at once when playing the piano. Some people stop driving the older they get, but if you are fidgety, active and young at heart, you go for all the life left in you yet! It sure beats the rubbish they have on tv nowadays! have fun sweetheart!

Of course! I don't think you are ever too old to learn something. I also would someday like to learn how to play the piano. And the guitar. I would call around for piano lessons. Try looking in the phone book for them. Music stores usually offer lessons, too. Good luck, and have fun with it!!

Of couse they can as long as there is no physcial condition which would preclude range of motion in the hands. Although even with limited mobility of digits, a certain amount of skill can be acquired.

The big question is if there is any musical talent to begin with. If so, then there's no reason not to learn.
