There was a boy who worked in the produce section of the market. A man came in and asked to buy half a head of lettuce. The boy told him that they only sold whole heads of lettuce, but the man replied that he did not need a whole head, but only a half head. The boy said he would go ask his manager about the matter.

The boy walked into the back room and said, "There is some jerk out there who wants to buy only a half a head of lettuce."

As he was finishing saying this he turned around to find the man standing right behind him, so he added,

"And this gentleman wants to buy the other half."

The manager okayed the deal, and the man went on his way.

Later the manager called on the boy and said, "You almost got yourself in a lot of trouble earlier, but I must say I was impressed with the way you got yourself out of it. You think on you feet and we like that around here. Where are you from, son?"

The boy replied, "Canada, sir."

Ok so my friend is in trouble her myspace isnt really great cuz of the things shes written about and written to ppl....and her step dad wants to uncover it all and she thinks he can go back into the history to uncover it!So my question is how can she delete all and never have the information for the webstie before he reads it..I know its kinda bad to ask but if she gets caught with that stuff her parents might transfer her to a different school and shell be grounded forever!!!

There's a listening part. What I would like to know is... What is the best way to distinguish between instruments that sound so similar to the untrained ear? (i.e.MY Ears.) The instruments are Bassoon, Clarinet, and Oboe. They sound the same to me especially the oboe and bassoon. Answers that would help to tell the difference with other musical instruments would help as well.

I have been filling out all kinds of loan apps some are denied or some will say that I will be getting a call from them. I received a call yesterday from a place in Sarasota, Florida called Fairmont Investment Group (they have a website and everything). They had all of my information in front of them and they told me that I qualify for this $5,000 loan. I'm like great! They faxed me what they call a legal binding contract and before I get my loan I have to send them the first 6 payments (actually what they do is search for lenders that are willing to work with me). Anyways I have to send them $467.14 before I get my loan. Does this sound right to you? Anyone ever hear of this company? What do ya'll think? They told me that the money is for collateral b/c of bad credit and will be applied to the pay-back of my loan anyways. They told me that they would fax me a written note saying that I would get my money back if by chance I didn't get the loan as well as I could take them to court.

I have started classess to convert to Catholocism.....I know little about the religion and was wandering if anyone could enlighten me in brief scenario of what to expect. My daughter and her husband have just joined the church and are very pleased that they did....I have a strong faith in God and only hope that this conversion will only strengthen even more.....any comments would be greatly appreciated.

i am in a relationship for 10 years but it is a dead end. he does not want to get married nor cares about anything regarding my 2 children..he claims he care because he take them out to do stuff with us but for there graduation he stated that they are not his kids therefore he was not going...he talk to me like i am nothing ..he could be a sweetheart but i can not count on him for nothing ..not even a galon of milk...he lives with his mother and i live in my own place. i love him but how can i get over him and move on. he is in control . i am always giving in and he knows he could get me when ever he wants without commitment...is it that i am used to being with him or do i love him...i need to move on but he works with me too.so i see him at work everyday.
