Imagine I am 100 light years away from earth. Suppose I have a telescope powerful enough to observe a baby being born. I now travel at .99999% (the limit of 1-) of the speed of light back to Earth. I keep watching the baby. Suppose babies always die in exactly 100 years. At what point in my travel will I see that baby die?

It should be less than 100 years right? Because when I return home (in 100.000...1 years) the baby should be just a pinch over 200 years old. That implies that I observe the baby's life in fast forward?

If nothing travels faster than the speed of light, how am I intersecting photons of light/waves/whatever at a closing speed of higher than the speed of light? Explain.

I currently live in California. Ive been here my whole life, and now my parents want to move to North Carolina. All my friends are here, my boyfriend. My life is here but they say they want to move because they think its better for us over there. Im only 18, my 2 brothers are in their 20's. I have no clue what to do. I want to stay. And if i do stay, i think i would have to live with someone temporarly till i get enough money with my bf to get an apartment. Should I stay or Should i go? Please share your opinions.

I can remeber being in high school a few years ago, and maybe seeing a handfull of girls with cleavage. Now , its not uncommon to see middle school age girls with it. Should it be in schools? And where is the age limit line? I myself think its way too young for a middle school person to have it, they should not concern themselfs with sex, and thus not try to sell themselfs as if they want it. Times have changed, but their is still a line.

I have been living with my uncle for almost two months now. Ever since I moved in, he have been pretty curel to his dog. He never pet it, show it any love, play with it, or anything. However I keep tell myself I will report it in a few months so my uncle won't suspicous it's me that report him. However in last 2 weeks, he have been getting very abusive toward it. He often pick it up by neck nape and throw it against wall or pin it down and spank it repeatly for few minutes, or kick it in head repeatly. It's steadily getting worse, I'm deaf and I can feel the vibrate on the wall and floor when he abuse it.

This is ENOUGH! I can't stand it any more. However I'm really scare if I report it they will ask for my name and address (it's mandatory in other state where I live in past) and they will tell him who report him. If he find out, I will be in HUGE trouble.

Also other problem is I don't know if the neighbors can hear all of abuse going on. I'm too scare to ask any of them because

In Men's Health Mag, there's an article by an overweight guy who quit his job, dumped his girlfriend, and started working out constantly all in an attempt to overhaul his young (25 yrs old) life. This is a little extreme, but makes for a good story.

Anyway, in the article he says he was careful not to run up more than a 7,000-calorie deficit (or 2lbs of fat) in any given week because the body will freak out.

Could somebody better define "freak out"? I'm planning to take a week off from my desk job to just workout and jumpstart my metabolism again. I've been eating healthy the past year and a half, but I'm not a huge calorie counter to know exactly what my intake is nor do I care to keep track of the calories I'm burning. However, I do care that my body doesn't freak out and would like to understand the physical warning signs before I reach that point. After this week of excercise I plan to continue by building the habit of working out at least 3 times per week.
