My (now) husband asked me that when we first started dating and I admitted my "guilty pleasure" was reading Archies Comics. (I am 36 yrs old and have been reading Archies since I was a wee girl.) :D So how many of you read Archies and how old are you? Am I the *only* adult buying these things at the grocery store?? :)

Why can't they make the steel bodied cars the way they did in the 60's/early 70's and also why can't they make cars as big as they did in the 60's/early 70's, the only thing they can do with those cars is build them with better gas mileage and better brakes and have as much power and torque as the pre-1972 cars.

I'm the only person I know who had a dad like this, nobody even has one similar....lol, most of my friends parents are things like doctors or own their own businesses or whatever.

He was a long haired rocker/hippie/outlaw. I don't remember him ever having hair shorter than his shoulders. He was constantly listening to music, or playing it on his guitar. I grew up listening to the Stones, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty and all the greats. He was an artist, a poet, a musician and on the whole a good man. There's no other word for him except for cool. He was smooth...lol, everybody liked him. He was intelligent and sophisticated and the best man I've ever known. Unlike some other fathers, he did things with me and actually enjoyed them.....just simple things like playing cards, but it meant a lot. There's no words to truly describe him, but that's the best I can do.

Ok, this might have seemed lame but I just felt like telling a bunch of strangers about my late dad. I'm 17 now and he passed away 3 years ago, and I constantly think about him. I enjoy remembering my dad, but I'm just coming out of a depression that was triggered by his death. Sometimes though (and often) I can't help but think about him.....especially during major moments, like when I got my license. Any advice on how to deal with this better, because so far I've been doing a crappy job.

This year for hoaloween I want to be something really unique that you don't see every year. I don't want to be the normal thing like a witch or prom queen. So what's the most original Halloween costume you've ever seen, heard of or dressed up as? By the way, Please, please, PLEASE, do not go into how Halloween is bad, because it's not and I've heard that about a million times. Don't waste your time.

I use Jazz 3 picks, because they're shorter and my fingers are thin lol. They're nice and thick to, but still somewhat flexible (the red ones).

Anyone who's pickin-n-grinnin could answer this Q ;)

My girlfriend is acting really strange the past couple of days. She says she is confused about herself and wants a little time to figure things out. She barely talks 2 me anymore and i cant figure out what about and why she is confused about herself. Is this because of full moon or is she in her period? Suggestions anybody?

The starter and generator needed to be fixed. The places around here were charging between 400 dollars for rebuilt parts, or 500 or more for new, but fiance found a place...the guy looked at it and said it would cost $91.97 (or maybe he meant between 91 and 97 dollars?). He said the other places were trying to rip us off. Anyway, he called today saying the work was done and the bill was 230 bucks! Thats a 250% markup from the verbal estimate! We really dont have the money and woudlnt have gotten it fixed if we knew it would be that much. My problem is that he did the repairs without talking to us first, since it was obvious that it was going to cost much more than his verbal estimate. I called up complaining and he was rude to me and fiance, and said he would take off the parts and give us back the mower and old broken parts.

My ?...is he still going to charge us for labor? Should we pay it? Or just tell him to keep the mower in exchange for the bill? something else? HELP!
