There are no more blood sacrifices in the Christian religion. God said he was tired of the smell of smoke from sacrificed animals. That is why He sent His son, Jesus to take all our sins on Him.

Catholics have to spend a lot of time atoning for their sins by repeating verses over and over, that is a sacrifice of useful time.

NO ,Scientists have proven that it doesn`t work.
Now I feel sorry for all the virgins and animals that were needlessly slaughtered.
But I get satisfaction that those who broke the shall not kill commandment are BURNING in Hell.

None more needed whatsoever, not our own efforts to earn God's favor, not those of our society.
Not capitol punishment.
Not 'paying one's debt to society'.
Not war.
Not prejudice, hate, honor, duty, and such other false gods.
