Because in all probability, if I were a DC comics character, I'd be toting an uzi and trying to puncture Batman's *** (no offense to Batman fans out there. ^^;; He's awesome, but somehow I relate to the baddies more...or am I just suffering from a Harley Quinn complex?). And this isn't limited only to the comics world; I mean how many of us think pirates and the mafia and other stereotypically "bad" guys are cool, or at the very least find them just a tad appealing?
Also, is it just me, or does anyone else think that Batman has gotten increasingly self-righteous over the years (as far as I know, he didn't used to call crooks "degenerates" and the like, and he actually tried to save both the lives of the victim and the perpetrator)? Even James Gordon was guilty of this in the story arc for "No Man's Land".
