Ganguly has consistently performed during his career and when he fumbled for once he was ommited from the team. Dirty politics. Don't forget that he is one of the only 3 players in the world to have scored more than 10000 runs in one day and took less matches than Sachin to achieve that. He is the one who kept Dravid in the one day side by asking him to keep the wicket (which makes an essential part of any playing 11) who otherwise was a miserable performer with the bat. Its a pity to see veterens like More, Shastri and others commenting on Ganguly who don't match Ganguly's callibre anyday. Dravid don't have an opinion of his own and can't protect his players which is clear with the dictatorship and undue warning on players by the Board and everytime he keeps mum. He is the modern Mirzaffer of India.

Letz discuss.

No one can take his place granted based only on past performance. While Gangully, no doubt, was an exellent player in the past, when India started winning matches under his leadership he became complacent and over confident. When he was replaced by Dravid due to injury problem, he took it for granted that his can get back the Captaincy automatically once he is recovered. Due to his bad luck Dravid used the opportunity given to him and proved beyond doubt with his attitude and form that he will be an ideal replacement for Ganguly. Gangully still had chance to come back to Indian Team, if he had played domestic cricket and proved his worth. Unfortunately, he has failed to do so and his performances after that in whatever games he has played was not warrenting his call back.

Ganguly should, therefore, take the blame himself for the present position he is in

Absolutely yes, i just love his way of batting even under pressure he is very aggressive cricketer and a good captain, now important is to bring him back in the Indian team, i think it is not possible until unless Kiran More is on the same chair i think Kiran More should be doing scoring in the next months series really i would love to see that

H e should be called back again, he should be given another chance in world cup....We cant forget that he has been a consistent player and not every player in present team is in proper form not to forget our beloved tendulkar...If we cud overlook his scores and performance then why so much of partiality on Saurav's behalf ?
