I wouldn't say it is going to hurt them to drink an Ensure shake. They mostly contain milk and a handful of vitamins. I wouldn't encourage them to live on them, but as a snack, I don't see any harm in it.

The problem, though, is that if you condition children to reach for an Ensure as a meal or meal replacement, they'll be conditioned to not eat regular food ... food that contains phytonutrients, anti-oxidents, and most importantly fiber.

As an occasional beverage or snack, go for it, But if you pack an Ensure shake into your kids' lunch for school, you are going to short change them.

No...unless they are really underweight and need the extra calories...kids get enough vitamins if they are eating correctly
