I was married 2 years ago. Last month my brother in law was killed in a car wreck with a drunk driver. After the funeral I was reading the guest book and noticed that on the front page where it listed his remaining family, my name was not on there. Is it fair to assume that they dont regaurd me as a part of their family? Am i overreacting? Is it ok for me to be hurt by this?

Why is it that the vast majority of Religious persecution in history has been done by groups with the belief that if you do not believe in our fundamental principals you will burn in hell. Namely Christianity and Islam. Why is it that the examples of Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, or Pagan persecution are few and far between if they exist at all?

Is their any other explanation?

I am fifteen. I decided to sing a song in Chruch sometime ago. I perfected it as best I could over three weeks. Many arguments were spawned over criticism of my performance. They insist that you can't believe what you hear or read but use hearsay to justify what they tell.They are Christians but use the excuse "reading scripture doesn't get you to heaven" for not reading the Bible. They discuss how bad other parents are and say that they know better than that. If I say anything slightly loudly they insist that I am yelling. If I don't jump as soon as a command had been given I am scolded and told that I am being disrespectful. I can't speak my mind if it contradicts what is said, especially if its during a heated debate. My father insists that we are a team yet is almost hypocratic on what her says. They insist that sheltering all my life helped me grow. Such as I didn't have decent knowledge about sexual prcoess until late sixth grade and that was through friends not parents. Advice.

I went through a bad divorce, and it destroyed my credit. I have been rebuilding it for some time. I currently have a student loan very current and have an auto loan with a perfect payment record. My score was at won time down to 430, and I currently am up to 575. I am looking to get a credit card to use monthly and pay off each month in order to further rebuild, but it seems that every company out there is a credit card pirate company. I would even not mind opening a secured account, but the fees for so many of these companies are just ridiculous.

Does anyone know of a unsecured or secured credit card company to recommend?

My youngest daughter loves to get dirty, she puts everything into her mouth. I know that as a parent I should be wary of what she puts into her mouth but I can't watch her every second. If she was to eat a hand full of dirt or eat something off the kitchen floor should I panic or will kids be kids? My first daughter hates to be dirty and was never the type to eat everything in site so this is new to me. Help!
My daughter is almost ten months old.

It's called Natural Selection. You can see that right now. Just look at how much variety there is in dogs or pegions. What about corn or wheat, same thing. These things just didn't appear out of thin air, ready to harvest. Humans made these. We encouraged one type to grow and discouraged another.

All of this variety happening over a few thousand years. Imagine what Artifical selection, the process of Evolution, taking over billions years be capable of. Just look around at the natural world. We may not look like a tree or slime mold, but at it's chemical heart, we are exactly the same.

Why do most humans feel this need to feel special? Is our self esteem so low that only a Universe made just for us will do. Every religion has it's own story on the creation of life. But every one of those is based in faith and no direct evidence. Science is the only one to have physical evidence of where all life came from. It's called Evolution.

I've convinced my 24 year old bf to go back to HS... when he dropped, he was in the 10th grade, which I am currently going into. They have already put me in Calculus, while he failed Algebra I, so has to take both Algebra I and Algebra II. It completely loses him. How can I help him without it seeming like I'm actually helping him? (male pride is such a pain)

I had mussels in white wine, French herbs & cream broth at a restaurant. I'd like to try it at home, but I'm worried about the wine curdling the cream -- I'm not sure which order to add the ingredients in, or for how long, to prevent the wine curdling the cream.
