i'm currently undergoing the symptoms of mono....about 3 weeks ago i came home from work with what i thought at the time to be the flu. when i got home, i was EXTREMELY hot and couldn't get cool. i ended up having a 103 temp, body aches, and a sore throat. a day later my tonsils had pus on them and it hurt really bad to swallow even my own spit. i thought i kicked whatever i had and was well again, but now i got sick once more. i went to the doctor and found out i had mono. i've read that it lasts only for a few weeks, and i may be almost over this disease, but i know that i must have passed this on to many other people, including my girlfriend. i know once you have this virus, it stays in your body, but how long will it take for everything to return to normal? could i get mono again later in life? or am i now immune to it?

You may not know that many nonliving things have a gender; for example....

1) Ziploc Bags--They are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.

2) Copiers--They are Female, because once turned off, it takes awhile to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right
buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.

3) Tire--Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated.

4) Hot Air Balloon--Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part.

5) Sponges--Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water.

6) Web Page--Female, because it's always getting hit on.

7) Subway--Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.

8) Hourglass-- Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.

9) Hammer--Male, because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around.

10) Remote Control--Female...Ha! You thought it'd be male. But consider this--it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying!!!

I have been building my furniture catalog website for a couple of months. I knew nothing when I started and had nobody to ask. I didnt even know how to make pics the right size. Well, I just published the bones of it and would like some input. I am not trying to sell anyone anything here and just would like suggestions on how to make it better or even if you think it is good or what.
My goal was to make an online catalog and I still havent figured out shipping or order forms. Well, any feedback would be nice. The guy I built it for cant even navigate in his own website, doesnt understand what the mouse does and I am getting no help from him. Thanks for your opinions, bad or good, just let me know please!

My best friend and me are both 20 and decided to enter this local beauty contest at a bar- they throw it every week on Friday nights. We both got dressed up- she wore your average low cut blouse with matching skirt and looked normal for a skinny white girl. Since Im large- I am about 300 lbs- I decided to wear a full ball gown, so I bought this brown and orange flower dress at a thrift store. At the bar, no one voted for me but most voted for my friend! I was so jealous because its not fair Im not skinny! So I grabbed a small bucket of paint the workers were using on the bar and threw it on my best friend's skirt and ruined it! She screamed and cried, and everyone called me fat names. I dont care- its not fair she won that beauty contest so I had to ruin her dress and yea, it did cost hundreds. But so what? But now I feel a bit guilty - how can I get her to forgive me?

people dont know for sure if sylvia is fake. my belief is that she is real because she predicted the india tsunami a year before it happened and she predicted katrina a while before it happened. also, i believe john edward is real because there is no possible way he could do reseach on 30 people and memorize the info in one night. same with sylvia browne. but if you really dont believe in her. that is perfectly fine ,i am not against anyone who does not believe in her or others because everyone in this world has their own beliefs.

A big myth in the West is that the Qur'an orders Muslims to arbitrarily kill non-Muslims. "Kill the infidels" as it's said. My understanding is that this is for COMBAT. Can anyone take explain these verses linguistically, from Arabic to English, to kill the myth? Shoukran!
