190 Fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but begin not hostilities. Lo! Allah loveth not aggressors.
191 And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution is worse than slaughter. And fight not with them at the Inviolable Place of Worship until they first attack you there, but if they attack you (there) then slay them. Such is the reward of disbelievers.
192 But if they desist, then lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
193 And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah. But if they desist, then let there be no hostility except against wrong-doers.
~Qur'an (Pickthall tr), Sura 2 - The Cow
A big myth in the West is that the Qur'an orders Muslims to arbitrarily kill non-Muslims. "Kill the infidels" as it's said. My understanding is that this is for COMBAT. Can anyone take explain these verses linguistically, from Arabic to English, to kill the myth? Shoukran!

Sticks-In-The-Woods: GROW UP. You are retaliating because I reported you for being extremely insulting to Muslims. Your question deserved to be reported, it goes against Y! rules of conduct.
Y! Answers Guidelines:
http://answers.yahoo.com/info/community_guidelines.php
Your question violates the following elements of Y! guidelines:
*that is violent, racist, incendiary, or otherwise objectionable.
*that contains profane, obscene, vulgar or sexually explicit language.
*to vent your frustrations, rant, make statements, or otherwise violate the question and answer format.
I can even another of your questions, because it's miscategorized. I won't, because I don't want to start an endless chain of reports. It's not worth one drop from my brow.
