Ever since the dawn of time christians have been tying current events with the bible.. Anytime something happens in the world JESUS IS COMING.. 300 years ago.. Man thought Jesus was coming.. 600 years before that.. same thing! If the bible has been around for a long time then people back in the day would of been claiming "If the bible isnt true how come everything is happening like it said"

Pick something that has SOME backing to try and prove the bible is real!

First the people causing their own predictions, how is that possible? The Old Testament In the book of Daniel talks about Israel. In end times prophecy almost all of the world will be against Israel. There will be alot of peace treaties but all of them will fail. Until the one known as the anti Christ comes. He will come in the name of peace. This treaty will most likely be 7 yrs. The peace treaty fails. There will be roaring of seas and it will get to be so bad there will be people who die of heart attacks. There will be earthquakes in various places. Also people will hide in caves because the war will be so bad.

Now this is just a few prophecies. Now I am just answering some of the prophecies that people are asking about. There are many more prophecies. Not one of them have not came true except of course the ones not answered. Now if this Israel thing is not one of the peace peace and no peace then you can expect almost all nations turning against Israel. A leader will come that seems to good to be true. Not like Bush or anyone else we have seen. He will be the only person able to seem to bring unexplainable peace. Peace is good, but there will not be any peace, basically will be a disguise. There will be disasters like has never been seen nor will ever be seen.

For those asking the Biblical events here these few are. I am being as specific as possible. I don't know if it is happening now or just the beginning, but what I do know is it will get better....but not before it gets really bad.

Sorry not as detailed as the Bible but it goes into a little depth. There were a few people asking what predictions were happening. And nostradomus did not have all prophecies answered. Just a few. However, I was stating some of them. I did not say it was infalliable proof. However, one must wonder how much truth if not just for the predictions there is. As I said before these are a few of the prophecies.

I'm agnostic, myself...now then...Because the bible uses a lot of metaphors, so it can be made to apply to a wide range of events.

Second, because when a gullible person is given a "prophecy", often enough, they will fulfill it themselves, without even realizing it. The subconscious mind at work. And with enough gullible people, all believing in a given "prophecy"...

Of course, this is all assuming it actually is being fulfilled, which brings me to my third point:

Third, I hear a lot of people say what you just said, but they never give any examples. Quote something from the bible, and tell me what event it is referring to, specifically, and maybe I'll consider it.

mrsmartnebab: Yes. Because there is an entire season during which hurricanes develop and occasionally become strong. We even call it hurricane season. By your logic, whoever wrote "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow" is a prophet.

Ok...I do agree that there do seem to be some realizations of bible prophecy as of late. However, I think it is worth noting also that some of these are also present in the texts of other religions. It would seem to me that there is something even bigger than religion going on here. I'm not going to say that Christianity is fake...I certainly respect the views of all Christians, I thought I believed once as well. But ask yourself this... if God so loved the world...why have only a fraction of it even heard his name? Did the Native Americans of this country who died before we got here go straight to hell? After all, how could they have been saved from there sins (such as the worship of false gods and the worship of nature [which would, of course, be paganism which is strictly prohibited in the bible])?

Where does it say in the bible that everything happening now was going to? Christians have been conditioned to "interpret" things in the bible to suit the modern day life. Sorry, I'm still not buying it.

It is not happening "like it is said it would" in the Bible.

That is your interpretation but certainly not the interpretation of most people.

The Bible has never been a very good predictor of real events. And the same passages in the Bible are used over and over by each generation to make the claim that events in their lifetimes were predicted.

Because you are ignorant of that you think that the events you witness are predicted by the Bible.

Simply put, it's not. You see what you want to see, ignoring what doesn't fit.

The same claims you make about the world today could (and where) made continually since the Bible was introduced ... our wars and struggles are nothing so great. A few thousand innocent people here ... a few thousand there ... we're still doing better than a single day during the invasion of Normandy during WWII.

I don't happen to agree with that either. Anyone can make a prophecy self-fulfilling. All they have to do is find anything that may remotely think fits and say see there it is that is proof. That is not proof. The bible's prophecies are no different than Nostradamus' and about fulfilled just as easily and vaguely.

Like what? Like a lion faced flying animal attacking? Four horsemen of the apocalypse? LOL!

Did you know that there have been about 50-100 times in the past 1,700 years where people seriously thought the end was coming? I mean like sold everythign and sat there and waited for the end. WHy are you any different from them?

That's a silly superstition. I made things happen they way they do and I can prove it with my predictions. If I get 1% correct, that is proof enough. We can also make the event fit the prediction and I predict that I can predict correctly about 75% of the time with the proper interpretation of my prediction. You have to be trained to do that and at this time I'm not training any new predictors.
