Worst break up ever?

I wanna know what the worst way or thing that someone has broken up with you. I had a girl break up with me on the answering machine when i was living at home and my whole family plus the neighbors and my brother's friends all heard the message before i got home from work. So what's your story?

a friend of mine got hurt pretty bad a few years ago. her boyfriend broke up with her, by sending a fax to her job. he said he thought the machine was in her own office and not where everyone could access it. what a jerk! you don't break-up with someone through faxing!

another bad one is to have someone break-up with you through email. that is so childish. losing a person you love is bad enough, but there's no reason to add insult to injury.

I guess I've been pretty lucky; I've done most of the breaking up in my previous relationships. I even initiated my divorce. However, that divorce was the absolute worst thing that has ever happened in my life so far.

I read somewhere that divorce is the third most stressful thing that can happen to anyone (death of your child and death of your spouse were one and two, respectively). I believe it.

It was mean, and dirty, and it dragged on for ages. When it was final, I grabbed a few of my friends and got good and tipsy, even though I'm not much of a drinker. That's not something that I EVER want to go through again. I'm too much of a romantic not to ever get married again, though. (Sigh) You'd think I would learn from my mistake....but I have a man in my life that has really made me reconsider, not that we've talked about it.

The worst break up I ever had was about 8 years ago. I was on my lunch break while I was in the Marine Corps, I was at my barracks and decided to sign on to see who was on. My Fiance's best friend signed on and well it was a Monday afternoon after a weekend without seeing my fiance at the time. I IMed her to see how she was doing, and she told me she was doing terribly and she thought she was pregnant. I was in a bit of a shock at that point, then when she said oh by the way this is your fiance not the best friend I was devestated. I had never had sex with her so if she was which she found out she wasn't I would not have been the father. In the end it worked out great for me.

I dated a girl for just under a year and then she comes up and says that she's not ready for a relationship yet. Gee, you'd think she could have figured that one out a LONG time before that! And yeah man, your break up really sucks to.

My ex and i had a big fight then we couldnt resolve it right then because i had to go to work, later that night he came into my work (a retail store) stood in line at my register and then said "i have no feelings left for you, its over" and he left without buying anything.

The worst breakup for me was when my boyfriend decided to end the relationship the same day that I was sick and had lost my voice... I had many things that I wanted to say, and no voice to say them.

I had a bf blame me for cheating on him while we were outside of McDonalds and I wasn't cheating! Then I found out he was cheating on me the whole time.
