Ive seen a million people do this, and i know i do it myself. When you pull down the shoot on the mail box and put your letter in and close it....you ALWAYS open it again to check if your letter is still there or not. Has anyone ever ACTUALLY had their letter still be there? Or is it just an uncontrolable, pointless, urge?

i've made plans to spend a week at home, then see my boyfriend. now my mom tells me that my dad would really appreciate if i could stay 3 more days, but that cuts a big hole in the time i have with my boyfriend. besides, i've already bought tickets and everything. but if i don't stay 3 more days, i feel like my family will hate me. i'll feel guilty, and i hate that. what should i do?

my mom has a problem with her brother...he has "problems" and wont listen to anybody....he is practically homeless...has no money...and no job....he can never keep his job because he has major problems...and about the money....our family has helped him....but now we cant anymore..hes getting worse and worse...and my mom doesnt know what to do..her brothers and sisters dont want anything to do with him...what should we do??

1st when I met my husband I seen those 3 children and I felt they needed help and my husband has diabetes and he doesnt like himself he is very stressed and I am still mad i never got a wedding in a church or a wedding ring with a diamond or time alone with him. Right now im dealing with the children saying im not there mother and the son punched me in the eye and i got a black eye. So he moved to my mom and dads when he should of moved to his moms. I am loosing feelings for my husband because he never sticks up for me in any situation. When i try to talk he just gets mad and doesnt want to deal with anything. Im tired and I work all the time and he is alway sick or in the hospital. He tells me sometimes I need to find a man who can help me sexually and that hurts my feelings. Now im sad and I want to be happy in my life. I want to get out and live a happy life im tired of being sad and unhappy who has any good advice for me?

I met someone online, I know it sounds chessy and I wasn't trying to meet anyone this way. Anyways we have really hit it off. We believe that we are made for each other, almost like soul mates. He wants to fly out to meet me, we live about 2000 miles apart from each other. Would him flying out mean anything different than trying to see if we have a connection in person? I mean surely it couldn't be just to meet and be friends, right?

Looking through old answers I found that 1 cup is 8 ounces.

I am calculating in grams/dl myself (Netherlands) so I tried to find a calculator that does this (for me strange) calculation to apply at my site (more than 900 recipes to convert: http://www.jannekes.eu ).
BUT:
A cup of sugar is heavier than a cup of flour.

Over here:

it seems that 1 cup of flour = 4.41 oz = 125 grams,
and 1 cup of sugar = 7.05 oz = 200 grams.

So what I would like to have is a table (internet or yours) where the most common ingredients (flour, sugar, butter, milk .... ) already are "precooked" from cup in grams/oz/fl oz.

- And I really want to know if it's still common in the UK to calculate in oz (or can I skip the easy adding?)
- And if all the measurement in the USA is in cups (chocolate seems hard to do)
- And what the Australians are using.

Would you add, when you answer, what country you're from?

We moved to MD cause i'm from here. We both have jobs but our car broke down & is junked. We struggle everyday to get rides to work.
