I met someone online, I know it sounds chessy and I wasn't trying to meet anyone this way. Anyways we have really hit it off. We believe that we are made for each other, almost like soul mates. He wants to fly out to meet me, we live about 2000 miles apart from each other. Would him flying out mean anything different than trying to see if we have a connection in person? I mean surely it couldn't be just to meet and be friends, right?

I think my moms weird but she met her husband on line...so there are positives. However, I had a friend that met up with a guy she met on line and he sent her different pics... he got here and looked like a wolfman. I knew of this other guy I worked with who'd go meet a girl and if she wasn't what he expected he'd expect her to get him drunk to do the nasty with her and when I say nasty I'm not talking the norm...how do your conversations online go if they go in a sexual way that's prolly what he's after. If not then just to make you more comfortable I'd state it on the moniter in front of him that it's not going to be that way and I'd keep friends around during most of the visit and tell him that before he comes that way he's not expecting alot of alone time with you... if he still want to come make sure it's not an extended time frame or he gets a hotel room that way your not dealing with unwanted company and your friends aren't hating you for making them hang around either.

No I don't believe he wants to meet and just be friends. I met someone on line too. Unfortunately it didn't work out and he didn't just want to be friends either.

This guy could be a stalker, or a murderer, he could want to kill you. Do not meet him. This is the most dangerous way to meet someone, and usually the least effective.

you never know --- I have met several like that....
Never meet them alone.... have a friend with you....and stay in a public area. Remember they are strangers --- you are meeting for the first time - online conversations are conversations you don't know if their words are true....

online relationships are a bad idea. You know nothing about this guy and have no idea who he is. He could be making everything up. I think you guys should just stay online friends. sorry but its the truth.

He sounds more serious about this than you do. I hope that it works out, but the odds are against it.
