Is it because they're dissatisfied with the relationship, or is it because they like the idea of being with more than one person at a time? If you agree with the 1st answer, don't you think that these people should break up with their mate first, and then date around? I am about to purchase a computer Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition comes with, I am wondering if this is new or and old hardware. I do not know too mcuh about my intended purchase, would love some info on what package, Should I buy XP or get Windows 98 or something. Am I right in thinking that its 98, 99, 2000, and should I take it as gospel or with a pinch of salt?

I was driving through rural Maine recently and I saw a curious site. Along the road, there were dozens of small red-on-white signs that said "Fire Lane XX" (where XX was some unique number), typically next to unpaved driveways. They were interspersed among houses and regular driveways; it fact it looked like residential driveways had been designated as such. Obviously they have something to do with fires. They didn't appear to be connected with a state park or forest, as they were on both sides of the road and it seemed too widespread to border on some central area. Another possibility is that they just have so much wooded area in Maine that even private property requires fire access. Also, what significance do the numbers have? Is it merely a way to identify where the fire is? How are these things used?

Does anyone know of a good place somewhere near Portland to throw sticks in the water for our Labs? Yesterday we tried the river at Willamette Park, but it is too muddy, like stepping in quicksand. A lake with a more sandy beach would be great. One of the Labs was abused before we rescued her and has fear issues with people, so the quieter the location is, the better. For a good location, I'm willing to drive a ways from town (but not as far as Cannon Beach every weekend), so if you have any ideas, please let me know.
