Is it because they're dissatisfied with the relationship, or is it because they like the idea of being with more than one person at a time? If you agree with the 1st answer, don't you think that these people should break up with their mate first, and then date around? And if you agree with the 2nd answer, don't you agree that these people should stop and think about all the STD's being passed around out there?

I believe there is something missing in a relationship if someone cheats. It doesn't mean they don't love the other person, it just means something isn't right. Or the person is weak and gives in to easily to temptation. I agree, if you're in a committed relationship, and there's an urge to cheat, it should be a warning sign. Try to work through it, and if it isn't possible then move on.

i Agree 100% with the first answer. Sometimes it comes from both person, Both could be cheating without each other knowing if he or she is not getting enough love or any signs of showing any appreciation that might happen. And i also agree with the second answer in that case you're right these people should break up with their mate first and wait a little longer before he or she starts meeting with other people

Yes, and Yes I found that people who cheat are not happy in there relationships but its not what you think. People that cheat are cheating themselves and insecure for what ever reason. They have a need to fulfill a void and it is not the other persons fault. Its all inside the cheater.

I agree with you on both points. A person with integrity and brains will break up first. He then has every right to f around.
And yes, they don't think of STD's because sex is a need. Their motto is 'fulfil it and be satisfied'.
At the end of the day, it's all about sex, sex, sex.

My top ideas for why people cheat:
1. Not happy in relationship
2. The thrill of sleeping with someone new
3. The power knowing you can sleep with many people and get away with it
4. Addicted to sex and can't get enough of it
5. Lack of self esteem

u answered the question urself.. it's both.. but that doesn't mean that the girl/guy is gonna be mature enough to say look this isn't working i wanna move on and see other people.. guys/gals like having their cake and eating it to and it's easier to do it especially if the guy/gal allows it.. u know like constantly taking their mate back after they apologized instead of just moving on..
i always encourage my guy to be honest w/me about everything but that doesn't mean that he will be...
