Actually, people think from the light reflected of that its blue, though in real life, it is actually orangish in color according to astronomers.

Pluto is mostly brown. Pluto's brown color is thought dominated by frozen methane deposits metamorphosed by faint but energetic sunlight. The dark band below Pluto's equator is seen to have rather complex coloring, however, indicating that some unknown mechanisms may have affected Pluto's surface.

It's actually a reddish orange. I just recently finished the renovation of the Griffith observatory in Glendale CA and the latest research for our models shows it to be orange. It is also a Khyber belt object and not exactly a true planet.
