I'd like to buy a handgun for hobby/recreation shooting on the weekends (going to a range), but don't have a clue where to start. I've had a little experience over the years, but just basic shooting and safety.
Finally, I'd prefer an automatic, but that's by no means set in stone.

I am a European non muslim male and I am happily married to a muslim woman. We had to get married in the UK, because her Islamic state forbids our union. Am I alone in thinking that Islamic law presents a double standard by not accepting our union?

Islam presents to the world an image of tolerance and acceptance...can anyone explain this contradiction in values?

If Islam wishes to stand for moral decency, it must also stand for individual freedom, lest it continue to represent the more repressive ideologies it is currently reknowned for.

I'm behind on my car payment and the car company called my folks house instead of mine. My mother is not happy. I've already may arrangement s to pay off the past due amount, but my mom called me this morning demanding that Jay, my boyfriend, and I go over to their House tonight to disccuss finances. I reallly don't want to and I KNOW Jay would rather lick a toilet seat than go. How do I respect my parents and be a "grown up" at the same time? I know I frigged up by not having the payment done on time but what do I tell my parents? ( If it matteres I'm 23 and Jay is 29)

my son is 5 & 1/2 months old and if you let him hold your fingers he will stand up quite happily. my friend has said that this is bad for him as he is so young and might get bandybo legs. also if he is sitting on your knee facing you he pushes up as well. any ideas?
