Help. Using faith in God's word alone I can't build the temple. Why? Why isn't pi 3 even thou God says it is

These are GOd's instructions and I want to have faith in GOd and his begotten son Jesus, but having faith and following these plans for his temple won't work if I read this and follow it WORD FOR WORD. Why?

It most probably was circular in form, but not a perfect circle. In other words, an ellipse.

This is how this passage is translated in the NASB:

"Now he made the sea of cast metal ten cubits from brim to brim, circular in form, and its height was five cubits, and thirty cubits in circumference."

In a round, but slightly eliptical shape, the circumference is not a exactly pi * d.

And another thing, maybe you are proving some calculations that you think they are wrong but maybe at those times it was correct.

But still that doesn't prove that there weren't a lot of great architects and engineers at those Biblical times. How do the slaves at those time build the Egyptians pyramids so perfectly?, also the building, the houses, the arks, boats etc.

People DID use science back in the day. First Romans started to be the pioneers in architecture then everyone started to imitate them.

Learn some history also my friend. Watch Modern Marvels in the History Channel, they show how people used science and technology in biblical times once in a while.

Because those instructions weren't given to you! Next you will want to build the ark?? You may be alive to see the building of the new temple in Israel, God has already given instructions to those that are going to do the work and they are waiting for the final word. You may find that exciting. Then again you may not, as it will be the Great Tribulation.

I post this because it is NOW happening, and don't be decieved if they make a temporary peace, I am not saying it is happening in one day, the process has started.

I can answer part of your question...

Firstly though, I am not aware of the bible giving the definition for pi anywhere within its pages.

I have read that the Bible gives two differnt numbers for the diameter of the sea; one measures from the inside edge to inside edge, and the other from the outer edge to the outer edge. I beleive this to be true because i encountered the same issue concerning a 'laver' in chronicles.

Look up your material again, and using this information, recalculate your math. it will come out correctly, you'll see!

You aren't using Faith!, you are using math, and math's aren't perfect, there is always a residual, which we avoid by approximating, in which case we label this conscious condition as tolerance., God is perfect not math, not us, not me, not you, Word's for word's God didn't gave you such instructions, personally for you to build such an structure? So perhaps the real person who once accomplish such task knew better, don't you think?, So. is HIM(God), perfect even went it comes to be his own responsibility to his own creation, to pick the right person and the right and perfect individual that he can trust and use to pursue and achieved his purposes in creation?. Are you in pursue of the right Cause?, what the effects of this cause will be for your next project?. think in the right cause pursue the right cause you may be able to achieve better effects?, Scientifically this can be prove. The effects of a good Cause will allow a man, to create, its own positive, and personalize good cause, such new effects, that yet in question, will or could allow the same man, to create again? then, that will be or can become, the first effect ever an intelligent mind, have truly create, to be proud of having, keeping and cherish. Can this become a positive effect to achieved our own cause, to pursue and achieved a true cause that God can be proud of our self achievements, and his help! With his help?????

Listen! God cannot be the source of contradictions in His Instructions. It is people who made these contradictions. Do not listen to people who deny God's existence because they only deny and assume without solid proof. One thing remains! YOU MUST search for GOD YOURSELF. He sent MESSENGERS and revealed DIVINE MESSAGES. NO one on this planet denies the fact that history proved that there had been prophets empowered with different types of miracles. Just search.

Maybe that is God's way of telling you you can't build "the temple" only He can.

my good friend. if you truly are seeking this god, then you must do it with your heart and not your brain. most of what is in the bible is not meant to be taken as fact, but rather meant to inspire man to be the best he can be. these are stories designed to show us how to live as one people mixed with inaccurate history and a bit of bigotry. if we where to take it literally then we would be in a much worse state then we already are.
