Please put the answer in your own words. Please don't come up with some obvious answer like, "It's the lactose. Duh." Please explain in detail what processes in the nervous system cause the feelings of nausea, and how the nervous system is caused to react that way. Please explain which chemical gets assimilated/digested that causes the nausea, and where in the digestive tract it gets digested. Is it the lactose, or some product of the lactose, like for example lactic acid produced by bacterial fermentation? Which bacteria, if any? How does it get digested? What is the connection between the digestive tract and the nervous system? How does the information/matter get transmitted? How do the chemical substances get transmitted?
