Hi ,

I'm a single 31 year old guy who has Spina Bifida and I'm confined to a wheelchair. When I go out, I run into some difficult situations. First, I meet a girl who seems interesting and she wants me to drink which I'm not very comfortable with.

Furthermore, since the places I go to are dance clubs the subject of dancing also comes up. I don't know how a wheelchair person can dance. These problems I've been having seem to keep me from establishing a connection with girls I meet. They seem to lose interest within a very short time and go elsewhere. It's very discouraging.

If someone could give me some advice I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

First of all, you need to meet a woman somewhere that YOU are comfortable with, a place you have the most fun and capabilities. If you are Christian, I say church, other places-book store, supermarket, anywhere that women will be doing normal daily things. If you aren't comfortable with drinking, I would quit with the club scene. I know that when I go to the club I like to drink, most girls do. And they also don't like doing it alone, because if the man is sober and the girl is toasted...how would you both feel the next morning?

Join a singles club for physically challenged people. I'm not being sarcastic but woman at clubs aren't going to 'go' for a guy in a wheel chair and if it does happen it's real rare. It can but the odds are astronomical.

Yeah, You have a good chance, you could be the life of the party if you are confident. Use your disability to your advantage. A good woman wont care if you are in chair. I have seen people in wheel chairs get more attention than anyone.

Try somewhere other than a dance club. If the lady wants to drink, suggest a non-alcoholic beverage. Oh, and try to be outgoing if you usually are.
