Isn't banning gay marriages just a need for the Christian right to force others into their definition of the "proper" way to live?

Is that was the "pursuit of happiness" is all about?

I guess telling others how to live is what makes them happy?

There is a small concrete patio leading up to my front door that is shared with my neighbors. It is written in the lease that this area is not to be used to store things, but it is constantly cluttered with bikes, scooters, chairs etc. I have casually mentioned this to the managers several times and nothing has been done. I cannot move because of my lease, but I also don't want to become the 'neighborhood whiner.' It is like an obstacle course just to get to my front door, and I have an infant and a toddler to take with me whenever I leave. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to get in to a big confrontation with my neighbors...I've even gone out there and put everything away neatly hoping they would get the hint, but that didn't work.

Why do people go out to eat, order expensive alcoholic drinks, appetizers and desserts if they can't afford to tip? As a waitress, I strive to give excellent service at all times, so I don't understand why people run up an $80 tab and leave me $2 sometimes.

Ok, my ex, who is the father of my child and was abusive toward me, I left 5 years ago. He hasnt seen his daughter or sent child support..well accept for $20, now wants to see her on a regular basis and wants his girlfriend to be involved as well. I never stopped him from seeing her before, he just chose not to. I'm so leery about this. Should I let him see her, after all these years, she is attached to my fiancee' and calls him dad. I'm confused!!!!!

my periods are normally regular with cramping ONLY on the first day. but this month i had horrible cramping for an entire week BEFORE i started my period, and the cramps have continued now that it started. today i noticed some large blood clots. i had thought i might be pregnant because my period was a little late, so am i having a miscarriage? or has my period just changed because i have been having more sex than i did in the past?

The existence or absence of "God" is irrelevant. The purpose of "science" is to establish grounds for all things testable and falsifiable. Whether or not "God" exists is not testable or falsifiable thus the question isn't applicable in the realm of science.

"Science" is not the enemy of Christianity or any other religion. On the other hand, religious zealots are the enemy of science only because various well-established scientific principals may cause them to question their faith.

Faith is belief. Science is knowledge. These are two entirely different principals. If your faith is true and strong, scientific postulations, findings, equations, theories, etc.........shouldn’t bother you in the least.

A farmer and his brand new bride were riding home
from the chapel in a wagon pulled by a team of
horses, when the older horse stumbled. The farmer
said, "That's once."

A little further along, the poor old horse
stumbled again. The farmer said, "That's twice."

After a little, while the poor old horse stumbled
again. The farmer didn't say anything, but reached
under the seat, pulled out a shotgun and shot the
horse.

His brand new bride raised all kind of heck with
him, telling him, "That was an awful thing to do."
The farmer said, "That's once."

how can i help him get his blood pressure lower? & to make him realize this is serious, he is only 19 he shouldn't be like this. I want to help him get healthy and lose weight. he thinks this is no big deal. Helppp please.
