What's a good gift for my 2 year old nephew?

I read a nice article,if u have time read it,Just wanted to share,it's about "pure consciousness"

When the Buddha announced his impending exit from the sphere of mortality, his dear disciple Ananda burst into tears. “Lord, you have been the polestar of our spiritual path so far. Whom should we contact for guidance and higher instructions when you will not be there in the land of the living?” he asked.

The Buddha replied: Atmadeepo bhava - Be light unto yourself.

Your wavering, questioning self must be silenced at the still point of concentrated consciousness. Amidst the darkness of worldly delusion only the emanation of radiance from within - like the full moon - can bring enlightenment. Guru Purnima symbolises emanation of inner illumination, the awakening of the sleeping Buddha within.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna advised his dear disciple Arjuna: “Lift yourself up with the help of your self ”. You are your best friend, philosopher and guide, at the same time you can be your worst enemy as well. Arjuna was never advised to seek refuge in a guru. Rather, he was advised to rise above all religious rituals and seek refuge in Him, the embodiment of eternal Being, the pure Consciousness, and real Self behind the apparent ripples of delusion.

The concept of seeking the light within is perfectly in tune with scientific spirituality. Whenever we sincerely seek intuitive guidance from within we create a magnetic pool to attract the requisite energy vibrations of infinite potentiality hidden within us. Each soul is potentially divine and we need to awaken this divinity through concentrated efforts and continuous aspiration. This is spirituality. No one else can make us gain the same; we need to source it from inside.

In the Mahabharata, when Dronacharya refused to accept Eklavya as his disciple, the boy made an image of Dronacharya and started practising archery in front of the image. Consequently, he mastered the art of archery as good as Arjuna who was the best direct disciple of Dronacharya, through assiduous practice and intuitive skills. The secret lies in intense aspiration leading to requisite release of the potential hidden within through the psychology of faith in a guru despite the physical absence of the guru in the learning process.

Aurobindo had an experience in cosmic consciousness due to his intense aspiration and soul searching. He never had a guru. Although he received instructions on yoga from Bhaskar Lele, he never accepted him as his guru and his teachings did not lead him to self-realisation.

A true guru can be instrumental in transformation of our ego into divine self and release of divine consciousness through the mechanism of faith. But the dogmatic claim of the essentiality of a guru in the spiritual path falls apart on closer scrutiny. The life of the Buddha, Christ, Ramakrishna, Aurobindo, Ramana Maharshi and others bear ample testimony to the fact. Guru Purnima, therefore, is an occasion for awakening of our inner illumination in full beam for manifestation of the divinity already within us.

bidding on my own items on ebay to get the price up?

on ebay i start the listing for my thing at $1.00 and no body wants to bid until the last minute so i was thinking of making up another ebay user and using it to bid on my items to get the prices up. I know it's possible to make a mistake and end up buying my own item but i am confident that people will bid on it. DOES ANYONE EVER DO THIS? IS IT AGAINST EBAY POLICY?

when and what do u tell people in ur everyday life if ur dating someone..do u make sure u tell people somehow?

my question is worded wierd cause i was in long distance relationship. we broke up.. after a month we talked and in conversation i said i had been asked out (after we broke up) by someone..well ex gf said its funny person asked me out cause i should have made it known during the 8 months we dated i had a gf. i said what was use i wasnt looking or flirting and i didnt pursue anyone.. and while we dated i knew i was her man and no one elses...she says i should have in everyday conversation with anyone brought up somehow i had a gf.. that cause i didnt it was like i was ashamed to have one or was leaving myself on the market..i i said its no one sbusiness what my everyday life is.. i wasnt looking i knew i was taken thats all that mattered and i was not asked out till almost a month(2 day shy) after her and i broke up..she said its funny person knew to ask me out had i been flirting with her or what...im confused when or what do i tell people in everyday life if i am in relationship

any one a basketball coach or have lots of experience? help!?

ok, so i am a basketball player, committed and devoted. i play on a travel team with 17 year olds, and i am 13. all the girls are playing high school basketball right now, and im not in high school yet. i think i am going to play with another travel team for fall, but i need another sport to play. like tennis. my cousin is doing that and i want to play either tennis or vball in my off season. so tell me what i can do. any dirlls i can inprove in my bball? plus, how do i handle grades, i have a 4.0 but this year, my teachers are supposed to be really hard. just help me. tell me what i want to hear and what i dont want to hear.

I have 2 check engine codes what do they mean ?

2000 dodge intrepid 2.7L i rented out a check engine scanner from auto zone got these codes back ---(P1714 Manfacurer contrl transmission)and(P0700 trans control sys malfunction)....thats the way the scanner spelled the codes the car still runs but the battery light is on my dash changed new battery new alternator and my car will drain the battery with in a day those to codes im having trouble understanding...

my BF and i are always argueing what can i do to help the situtaions?

well... we've benn together for almost 2 years, we get along for like a week straight t hen for 2 weeks we'll argue and i will be sad and just very argumentative at him no matter what. he always asks for me to rub his back and it gets to annoying and i make an arugment out of it! and when i do say yes and do it he complains about how im doing it! its making me nuts and i just want things to work out cause i love him dearly it's just that he relaly gets on my nerves! my frustration is really up top right now! can anyone give me ideas on how i can make things work and what are some small things i can do to make him smile!? thanks sorry for such a long description
