we are thinking that we should use a lagoon sysyem for our new modulars instead of septic sysyems. We are not sure how to build it

You just dig a hole, and run your sewer lines to it. just make sure it is well away from the house, fenced in (for safety) and out in the open so it can get lots of sunlight to help break down the wastes. Also make sure it is a little below the level of the house, obviously. Are you by any chance in Missouri or Arkansas?

Lagoon systems for several homes produce smells that are very unattractive (I'm being nice) and in my estimate lower the value of an entire neighborhood. Go septic, go septic, go septic.

You just need someone with a bulldozer. They'll know what to do. BTW lagoons have to be a certain distance from your building depending on occupancy. Check to make sure you have the space.

if you build a lagoon you would have to dig a hole depending on size you want and line it with thick plastic you need to check your county
code on it i would go with a septic system it underground out of site
a lagoon is visible and is standing water it will draw flys and mosquito
which could carry disease to
