An Interesting Lesson
A young man had read all the books he could
find about Zen. He heard about a great Zen
master and requested and appointment with him
to ask for teachings. When they were seated,
the young man proceeded to tell the master
everything he had understood from his reading,
saying that Zen is about this and Zen is about
that, on and on…
After some time, the master suggested that they
have tea. He performed the traditional tea
ceremony while the student sat at attention,
bowing when served, saying nothing. The master
began to pour tea into the student’s cup. He
poured until it was full, and kept pouring. The
tea ran over the edge of the cup and onto the
table. The master kept pouring as the tea ran
off the table and onto the floor. Finally, the
student couldn’t contain himself any longer. He
shouted, “Stop! Stop pouring! The cup is full —
no more will go in!”
The master stopped pouring and said, “Just like
this cup, your mind is full of your own
opinions and preconceptions. How can you learn
anything unless you first empty your cup?”
And so it is with you now — you must first empty your mind so that
you can actually learn something.

I'm not Christian myself, but I loved learning about it, and I appreciate their values. I was just wondering about a few question or instances Christians could perhaps answer me on. The more references to the Bible, the better. :)

- What is the stance on using medication? What about a Christian person who has become so depressed that it's drove them into a suicidal state - they may be aware suicide is a sin, but mental functions are inadequate? On one hand I was told that God has enabled us the technology to create medicine to use, but on the other hand it's messing with God's plans for us, and the sanctity of life.

-What do Christians believe about roleplay/sexual fantasies in the bedroom between wife and husband? Even if it leads ultimately to bearing children.

-What do Christians believe about watching television to watch the World Cup for example? Or opposed to listening to it on the radio?

Any discussion would be appreciated. :)

I had a full vaginal hysterectomy last august. The doctor never put me on any hormone pills or any meds. I have heard that after your hysterectomy you need the hormone pills to level it all out.
All of a sudden a week ago I have started getting out of control moody! Besides that I have been fine. Anyone have any idea why I am not on them, and if I should be on them?
