Why does the desktop the icons get shadowed?

Question

In my pc, the desktop icons get shadowed automatically. how can i remove those shadows? There is an icon, and it's name get blue shadow, why? please solve my problems soon.

1. Right Click on My computer and go to Properties
2. Go to the Advanced Tab
3. Under Performance click settings
4. Click the Let Windows Choose what's best for my computer, or make sure all the boxes are checked.
5. Click OK to Exit

right click on desktop and go to properties.. you can fix it from there . )
