depends how serious the realtionship was and whether you still see each other

it has taken me a staggering amount of time to get over my ex (two years...though in all honestly im not sure if i totally am over him yet) which is due to the fact we were together for two years and lived together for a while after we split up, we also have a child together which means i see him at least once a week, and due to this he be's polite and nice to me as he wants to see our daughter.... this hasn't/doesn't help me get over him!!

so take as much time as you need and it isnt always best to find someone else as when upset and hurting you tend to make bad choices and latch onto the first man that comes along, who in actual fact you may not choose normally...

eat ice cream, cry if you feel like it, go out with your mates, focus on the bad points in relationship and dont worry about how long it takes for you to move on, everyone is different...

good luck hun :)

Depends on the break-up, if he dumped you then it hurts for a while but you will eventually get over it. It's things happening like that which gives you the experience you need for the next relationship - it's how we all learn. In the mean time, get drunk (if your old enough), eat ice-cream and hang out with your mates or make new ones! You don't have to have a man in your life to enjoy it!

It takes as long as your heart needs to mend when you feel like going out and socializing and meeting new friends then you know your over the ex.

Depends on how deep the love is.

It took me a year to get over losing my ex girlfriend, and even now I still miss her.

It helps if you find someone else though so I'm told.

Depends on the relationship, how close you were, the terms you ended on, it's hard to tell. It can be anything from a week to years. Plus you have to look at the individual person and their attatchment levels.

It all depends on how deep the relationship was, and how it ended. I kow for myself it took almost a year to get over a serious relationship.

I still think about my first girlfriend sometimes and hope that life has treated her kindly.
I haven't seen her for over 30 years.

As a guy it's hard for me to comment.
But bank on it taking a hell of a lot longer than you're expecting it to
