Hello,

Well remember Native indians they spoke their own languages, who were driven and used as slaves by ancient europeans who settled in america some are of Britian. English was the most dominant Lnaguage then and it still is and that was partly how English is the Main language of America. Europeans have different languages because they are from different countries which are part of the European Union.

Think about it, if Native europeans never went to America in the dark ages and you are caucasian or from white desent you'll probably be speaking quite a few languages yourself......

take care

You kind of answered your own question: it is because the US is one country with a one standard language just as each of the countries in Europe have on standard language.

If the US was divide into different countries I would guess that it would have multiple languages as well.

Europeans understand that the more languages they speak, the better off they are, and the more they can communicate with the rest of the world.
The statistics show that people that speak more than one language make more money, and have greater opportunity.

the in basic terms lingua franca in Europe is English - Europeans study English in decision to that of their neighbour, and also you'll even locate that Dutch audio equipment in Belgium and German audio equipment in Switzerland ought to particularly study English than to talk in French with their very own countrymen! in case you desire of experience speaking yet another language, follow the Latin international places, for the easy reason that, compared to the Germanics, the overall inhabitants has a very constrained awareness of English and also you received't get that unintended lack of manners from human beings answering in English.
