I am shopping for new tires for my GMC Jimmy. I only use it on the road - no towing or crazy off-road stuff. I am confused about the different tire types... performance, passenger-highway, passenger-standard, light truck-highway, light truck -standard, etc. How do these types differ? THANKS

I know they are quite beautiful and very sexy. But they mentioned that their act is "empowering" to women. And the implication was to the sexiness of the act. Now I am all for women being comfortable with their bodies and learning grace and confidence. BUT come on... women fighting on the front lines is empowering... women on the cutting edge of science are empowering... all this long legged, tight clothed, dance acts are entertaining but hardly the defintion of empowering.

This obviously didn't occur to me just this morning but this statement by them I think is symptomatic of a larger social state of mind where women are buying into the objectification (is that a word) of their own bodies and consider it empowering. (Like a porn starlet is comfortable with her body, enough to show it of (and no I am not saying that the Pussycat Dolls are pornstars just that they also capitalize on their bodies)).

What do you folks think?

She's very old and her coat doesn't seem to grow in the way it should. She has terribly matted fur and does not tolerate bathing or brushing. I will have to sedate her to shave her down. After reading some information about Chow Chow coats, I am unsure now if shaving her all the way down is in her best interest. Thank you in advance for any helpful information.

I have a 50 year old friend that’s about to be off work for a few months due to surgery. My coworkers and I would like to make a “off work survival basket” for her. the portuguese just don't have any traditions in soccer. In this WC, they 've been cheating, kicking and screaming all the time. I would prefer seeing the dutch or the english playing against france.
And their coach, he looks like a bear with a swallen face!
